ANALYSIS


Analysis allows you to ask questions and get answers. Document the world in whatever way you wish, pick your focus topics, and decide which information you will gather. An analyst will have more information than any other character.


SKILLS


1. Document

Prerequisites:  analysis level 1

The analyst will first learn how to document events of any kind for analysis. This document can take form as a visual, written, or performed work (one medium of your choice). In order to be successfully documented, the analyst must have the appropriate materials and must  make a roll with a DC of 6.

It becomes easier for the analyst to document, decreasing the DC of the roll to 4.

The analyst can use media other than their specialized medium to document. The DC of documentation with non-specialized media is 6.


2. People

Prerequisites: document

Subjects of analysis can now include people, their practices, and their thoughts.


3. Places

Prerequisites: document

Subjects of analysis can now include urban locations, cultures, and architecture.


4. Things

Prerequisites: document

Subjects of analysis can now include objects, machines, and other artifacts.


5. Nature

Prerequisites: document

Subjects of analysis can now include all naturally occurring subjects, including geography, wildlife, and climate.


6. Identity

Prerequisites: people

On a successful roll, you can recall or gather information about a person. This information might include their name, family, household, personality, or general reputation, among other things. The DC for this roll is 6.


7. Customs

Prerequisites: places

On a successful roll you are able to recall or gather information about local customs and rituals. This information can allow you to practice the customs or know more about them. The DC for this roll is 6.


8. Function

Requires things

On a successful roll you are able to recall or gather information about the particular function of an object, machine, or the like, including the information on how to use it. The DC for this roll is 6.


9. Trailing

Prerequisites: nature

On a successful roll you are able to recall or gather information about the path of almost any subject. This can be used to track a person or animal, or it can be used to find the centre of an energy source, among other things. The DC for this roll is 6.


10. Origins

Prerequisites: analysis level 5 and people, places, things, or nature

You can attempt to recall or gather information about the origin or history of any subject you have a previous knowledge of (according to your current skills) by asking the DM a question and rolling the dice. The DC of this roll is 7.

11. Locator

Prerequisites: analysis level 5 and people, places, things, or nature

You can attempt to recall or gather information about the location of any subject you have a previous knowledge of (according to your current skills) by asking the DM a question and rolling the dice. The DC of this roll is 7.

12. Monitor

Prerequisites: analysis level 5 and people, places, things, or nature

You can attempt to recall or gather information about the status of any subject you have a previous knowledge of (according to your current skills) by asking the DM a question and rolling the dice. The DC of this roll is 7. On a successful roll, you are able to view the target’s current stats and boons.

13. Reaction

Prerequisites: analysis level 5 and people, places, things, or nature

You can attempt to recall or gather information about the way two instances of any subject you have a previous knowledge of (according to your current skills) will react when they interact with one another by asking the DM a question and rolling the dice. The DC of this roll is 7.

14. Trust

Prerequisites: analysis level 10 and identity

You can attempt to discern whether someone is trustworthy or not with a roll of the dice. The DC of this roll is 8. On a successful roll, you can get a hunch whether or not you should trust them or figure out whether or not they are withholding information from you (though not what kind of information they are withholding).


15. Streetwise

Prerequisites: analysis level 10 and customs

You can attempt to notice traps, hostility, or other dangers at will with a roll of the dice. The DC for this roll is 6, and a successful roll will indicate whether or not the area is dangerous.


16. Assembly

Prerequisites: analysis level 10 and function

You can attempt to reverse engineer any one thing with a roll of the dice. The DC for this roll is 7 for common objects and for uncommon or rare objects it is 10. On a successful roll, you will be able to obtain the recipe for the chosen craftable object.


17. Weakness

Prerequisites: analysis level 10 and trailing

You can attempt to learn the weaknesses of any target with a roll of the dice. The DC of this roll is 7 for common subjects and 9 for uncommon or rare subjects. This roll can be repeated on organic targets by observing their behaviour over longer periods. On a successful roll, you will learn something that you can exploit about your target to realize your intents.
